City Council Questionnaires Coming In

March 4th, 2008 · No Comments

Last week, all 51 City Council Members received questionnaires about their stances on the congestion tax. And Council Members are responding. We want to thank them for taking the time to let the public know where they stand on this important issue.  The questions and responses that they were asked are below:

Question #1: Have you or your staff reviewed the final implementation plan as recommended by the NYC Traffic Congestion Mitigation Commission on January 31, 2008?

Question #2: Based on what you know right now about congestion pricing and the Commission’s final plan, how do you intend to vote if a congestion pricing plan reaches the City Counci?

Question #3: What reasons do you have for voting this way, or if undecided, what aspects of the plan and/or congestion pricing cause you to remain uncertain about where to stand?

Here are the responses (so far):

Council Member Tony Avella (19th CD)

  1. No
  2. Opposed
  3. (no response)
